March 22, 2015: Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Sumpin'

I reached my goals, which rarely happens on a Sunday, but I got sucked into the CAVS game while I was at the gym, and time really flew by.

Beer Award for March 20, 2015:
The Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Sumpin' is my favorite pale ale to keep around the house. It's stronger than a normal pale ale, but doesn't have the bite of an IPA, or the overly fruity nature of a wheat beer. The beer is a perfect reward with a 7.5 ABV.

March 20, 2015: 21st Amendment Fireside Chat

I ended the work week on a high note by meeting all my goals today. I was in a work week challenge this week with four other people, and lost 97,235-97,450. Coming in second was tough, but that is the most I have ever done over a 5-day period, breaking the 20,000 step mark three different times.

March 20, 2015 Beer Award: 
21st Amendment, out of San Francisco, brews a wonderful beer called the  Fireside Chat. This is the only winter beer I will drink in the springtime. I would drink it for the can alone, which features FDR delivering his famous fireside chats during the Depression Era. The beer is a strong ale with select spices and a 7.9 ABV. It was the perfect reward for my best week since I found out about the Fitbit in 2010--ironically while I was in San Francisco.

March 19, 2015: Great Lakes Brewery Chillwave

Yesterday, I hit my goals, as indicated by all those fun green lines:

March 19, 2015 Beer Reward: 
Great Lakes Brewery Chillwave Double IPA is by far the best and smoothest double IPA I have ever had. This is the March beer that Great Lakes Brewery puts out, and it doesn't hit you like a normal 9.4%ABV beer might. It has an extremely smooth finish without dehydrating you.  This was a great reward after walking 43 flights of stairs.

Welcome to my blog where I will be keeping track of my Fitbit steps and activities. I know you are thinking, "Oh no, not another Fitbit blog," but this one will be different. Yes, I will post my results everyday, but at the end of my day, I will reward myself with a beer if I meet my goal. You will be privy to what beer I choose and my thoughts on that beer.  This blog will combine both of my loves: working out and beer. It is my job as a responsible blogger to let everyone know that too much exercise and too much beer is probably not a good thing, and this blog does not promote either of those things.
